SEO
Get found by people ready to buy
Local search work aimed at one number: qualified calls and forms from people in your service area.
Three things that move local rankings
In roughly this order of impact. Anyone selling you the third without the first has it backwards.
-
Google Business Profile
For a local business this is the highest-leverage asset you own, bigger than the website. We set it up properly, keep it active, and build a review habit that actually holds.
- Categories, services and service area
- Weekly posts
- A review process your staff will use
-
Local landing pages
A real page for each city you serve, with content specific to that market. Not one template with the city name swapped. Google treats those as doorway pages and ignores them.
- One page per city that matters
- Written for the local market
- Internally linked so they reinforce each other
-
Technical & on-page
The unglamorous half: crawlability, structured data, internal links, titles and speed. It rarely wins on its own, and nothing else works without it.
- Structured data and schema
- Site architecture and internal links
- Core Web Vitals in the green
Where the clicks actually go
Search for a local service and the first thing on screen is the map: three businesses with star ratings and a call button. That block takes a large share of the clicks before anyone scrolls to the classic blue links.
Getting into it depends on three things: how close you are to the person searching, how complete and active your Google Business Profile is, and your reviews. Only the last two are in your control, which is exactly why we work on them first and why we push hard on reviews early.
The website still matters. It is what converts the click into a call, and it is how you rank for everything the map does not cover. But a beautiful site with an empty profile is a common and expensive mistake.
Where we work
Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Sarasota, Lakeland and the wider Tampa Bay area. Proximity is a ranking factor, so we are direct about which cities a given business can realistically rank in and which ones are not worth the pages.
SEO by city
Competition, seasonality and what a customer is worth all change by market. These pages cover each one.
Industries
SEO by industry
What a lead is worth, and how it is won, differs enormously by industry.
Common questions
How long before I see results?
Early movement around month three, meaningful lead flow between months four and eight. The Google Business Profile usually produces calls before the website rankings do, which is why we start there.
Do I need to sign a long contract?
No. SEO takes months to compound, so we ask for a realistic runway, but month to month, cancel when you want. A contract that traps you is a substitute for results.
What do you report?
Calls, forms and where they came from. Rankings and traffic are in the report too, but they are the means. A ranking that produces no calls is not a result.
Can you guarantee first place?
No, and nobody can. Google does not sell placement and does not take requests. What we can commit to is the work, the reporting and an honest read of whether it is paying off.
Is SEO worth it for a small business?
It depends on whether people search for what you sell. For home services, legal, medical and restaurants in Tampa Bay, they search constantly and the competition is softer than in bigger metros. For some businesses the honest answer is that ads or referrals will pay back faster, and we will tell you if that is you.
